How to apply

Step 1- Sign up for the program

Please fill out an application.

Your program coordinator will contact you to clarify all the details, answer your questions.

Following this we will invoice you with the deposit amount of $250 which can be paid by the VISA, Mastercard, Maestro or the bank wire to complete your registration.

Step 2 - Placement to the family

Once we receive the information above we start searching for the host family which will match your goals best. We use our database of confirmed and experienced families and also carefully search and screen new candidates. This process can take up to 4 weeks. Once we have family who confirmed their will to meet and host a new foreign friend, we will schedule a skype interview with you. By the end of the interview you confirm the family or you can ask for other interviews with additional families if you feel that you need a wider choice.

Step 3 - Apply for a visa

Once you confirm your family, we will invoice you with the rest amount of the program fee.

Your program manager will send you instructions on applying for a Russian visa. This can be done directly to the nearest Russian Consulate or through a number of visa centres online. The regular waiting time to obtain a visa is 1-2 weeks.

Step 4 - Pre-departure orientation and arrival

Once you receive a visa you can book your air-tickets and plan your trip with a program manager. We will schedule a pre-departure orientation with you where we will share useful travelling tips and help to plan your trip to Russia.

Arrive to the closest international airport and meet your new Russian family who will be there to pick you up!
